Recently, I'm interested in Japanese history and culture. I think I should know about my country Japan because I want to introduce good points of Japan to foreigners. I had not been interested in Japanese history till recently. However, I changed my mind when I went to Hokkaido on school trip. One of my friend said "I want to go to Goryoukaku." I didn't know Goryokaku till she said. Goryokaku is Built by the Tokugawa shogunate, it was located in the center of the port of Hakodate, on the island of Hokkaidō. Shaped like a five-pointed star. Goryōkaku is famous as the site of the last battle of the Boshin War. A famous person Hijikata Toshizo (Shinsen-gumi) death there. My friend like him very much, so we went there. After I came back to Osaka, I watched a dorama about Shinsen-gumi on NHK. I was impressed by their story. I felt how great people who made history. I want to know many Japanese history more.
My favorite drama is "必殺仕事人". I enjoyed how assassins kill their target. Each assassin has various kind of weapon. It's very interesting.

ReplyDeleteI also want to know Japanese history, but...I don't have a time to learn it. It is good idea to watch drama like Shinsengumi.
