Do you know this news? It was at January 12 that the earthquake occurence. There was an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0. Hundred thousand lives were lost in the earthquake. This is today news. However, poeple can't drink or food since on this day so all the poeple become growing. Also we are raising funds to help an earthquake.

He said "Ozawa should explain about his problem as soon as possible." In last year autumn, Some pharmaceutical company do the questionnarire to 500 citizen. They get the TDS test and answered when did they smoke. The 44% of the test occupy college student who smoke. 26% of the test occupy high school student and 16% of the test occupy junior high school student.

especially 20~30 generation didn't change. Many young people to smoking.

In my opinion, I have smoking and when I saw this news, I have a severe and we need to stop the young people smoking,because smoking is bad for health.

JAL(Japan Airlines) will apply to be place under court-administered bankruptcy protection. The JAL's administration deteriorated since years age(yahoo news). JAL has bad rumors. The first is about an airplane accident. In 1980, the JAL caused an enormous accident. The airplane clashed in Mt.Osutakeyama in Gunma prefecture. 540 people died. The company didn't take care of the deceased's family after the accident. The second is about the maintenance. The company didn't use money for maintenance of the airplanes. I think that's why the accident happened. The third is a sort of embezzlement. Anyway, JAL is an unreliable company. So Japanese govornment could not bail it out because of these reasons.

The news I read today is about the earthquake of Haiti. A old woman was rescued by Mexican rescue team. It spent 7 days from the earthquake happened. She doesn't have any food and water for 7 days, but she is alive. I think it is a miracle. It was really good news for all of Haitian. Recently, earthquake happens everywhere very often. In the case of Japan, it also happens, even though it is not so strong like Haiti. We cannot stop it completely, but we can help sufferer. In fact, some people go to Haiti to help them. We can do charity for them. We should do something for sufferer.

Do you know the person who is Shiba Ryotaro? He is a novelist and his novel is "Ryomagayuku" and"Sakanouenokumo". Then he became an honorary citizen of Higashi Osaka city. After, the city made his memorial hall.
Then today's news, I read about his news which is Higashi Osaka city decide to buy a land and build new garden. The reason why the city decide to make a garden, before he die, he liked flower or tree, so city decide to tree planting.
As my opinion, I live in Higashi Osaka and I had been to his memorial hall. However in the hall, there are only book. It's like a old library, and so boring! I don't care about city's decision, but if something to make, I want them to make more useful for citizen. To make a garden isn't benefit for us... : (

My this years resolutions is I go to university. So I'm very busy now. In February I must go to new university's examination. I'm hard working. I want to study education in the university. I want to English teacher. So I must more study English everyday. Do my best.

Hi. E3E4 members! Happy New Year. How was your vacation? good? Time flies. 13days passed already since this 2010 started. Did you make any resolutions for this year? I did. I made 3resolutions for this year.
First is to read a hundred of books not only Japan books but also English one as we as last year like novels, how to books, business books or narrative books. Regrettably I gave up last year so I want to achieve it this year definitely.
Second is to try An Eiken first grade. It is the most-longing resolution to achieve in 2010. I know it's really hard to get it, but I wanted to set a high goal to improve my English abilities and I know what I have to do to get it. I have to do lots of things like studying Vocabulary, reading, listening, and speech.
Third is to write a diary everyday. I begun to write a diary since last August. I keep on writing it now. I write about my daily life, something inspired me, hobbies, and so on. The reason why I begun it is that these days, we have less opportunity to write something because we have a PC. My purpose to write a diary is to learn writing skills and to adjust it.
Above all, it's important to keep on them and to have a step by step mind.

I want to change myself to live happier life in the New years. Last year I almost had happy life.
I was very tied for bad things. My grandmother was in bad health. So she had to be in hospital.
I am worried for her even she had recovery health.Beacause she was old age. I was very feel soory to her. I could`nt go back home and care her. It was in no humor to take care her.
I could do it one thing . It was a prayer for her. God take my prayer. My grandmother recover health step by step. I was very thanks God . I hope everyone has good thing in the New year.

I want to make beef stew for our dinner and we have the dinner all together. I hope to spend such time some day.

Would you ever sell my all CD? No, I wouldn't, because I can't! I saved money to buy a CD, so I can't do that. Before I buy the CD, I didn't know why people buy a CD. I thought if we go to rental shop, we can borrow a CD and cost is very cheap. However I was wrong, because I want to it own.

I want to meet a lot of people around the world. If I traveling alone around the world, I want to go to Okinawa at the first. I went to Okinawa last December. Okinawa is peace place, because local people are kindly and has a lot of problems here. I'm interested in Okinawa's history. If I go to traveling with friends, so I talk to only friends and I don't talk local people. I want to look, hear and learn a lot of thing myself.

Would you ever read books for a long time? Yes, I would, because it's really interesting and relaxing time. Some people wouldn't do it at all. They say it is boring and become sleeping. They cannot read books without pictures like comics. However I think books tell us more detail than comics. We can imagine how situation and character are in a story. When I start to read a book, I cannot stop doing it and hear anything. It's the most relaxing time for me to read books.

I would eat little fish and shrimp alive. I never eat to alive fish, so I want to try it. I like to eat raw fish. I used to work at sushi restaurant when I was high school student. I ate many kind of fish, I thought that I want to try strange foods. Have you ever ate to strange foods? I ate tempura of albino. It was delicious.

Would you ever travel by yourself? I haven't tried to travel alone yet but I want to try it. I think it's hard to travel by myself. However this kind of experience makes me stronger. During the trip, I have to decide everything what I should do. I want to travel abroad but that's more difficult than traveling in Japan because of the language problem. So I'm going to try it after I have had a trip in Japan by myself.

His words is beautiful. He isn't history person, because he is novels writer. I had read his books when I was high school student. Before I didn't like read books, but I read to the last only his book.
So, if I could spend one day with Mr. Mori Ougai. I want to talk about his world view. He was army and go to study Europa about medical science.

I like "Mai hime" in his novels. His novel is very difficult, because all words is old type so It took me a lot of trouble to translate this novel.

The novle counts as his masterpiece. I love all his novels.

Have you ever gone to jupiter? Of course No one have never gone to the planet. If you can go there, Jupiter is dangerous planet, because it has very strong gravitation. I have heard some information about this planet. If you close to the planet, It pull and crush you by its gravitation.

So, you can't see inside of the planet by present technology. If NASA can create satellite which can stand huge gravitation, people can find new thing about Jupiter.

Hello everyone. Do you enjoy this class? If I could invent something to help all humankind, I want to invent the fourth dimension pocket. It is like a "Doraemon." The fourth dimension has many kind tool. For example,"Dokodemo door" If I opened the door can go to anothr place that I want to go to place. I think they want a Doraemon who has ever seen Doraemon, so I can help to people that if I invent a dimension pocket.

I would invent a space hotel. There are enough food to eat every day in Japan, but some of developing countries don't have enough food. Many children are dying because of starvation. I think it is a common for everyone to be happy when we eat enough food. Most important thing to live is eating food, so I want to invent a tasty and hearty food for all of people in the world. It can grow up everywhere which is even bad condition like without water and sunshine. We can make it everywhere and every time. Even if typhoon or flood happens, it would never died.

If I could invent something to help all of humankind, I would invent "the dreaming pillow". People only use it when they are sleeping, they can have a good dream! I want to invest multilingual dictionary. If you had it, you could talk to people all over the world. It will help people to translate language in just a second. The beset feature of this dictionary is the microphone. It catches every word I say clearly and translate to other language. It is easy to bring with you because of its size. It must be an important item for people who join the international meeting, too!

It's tough question for me. I think I would invent a time machine. A time machine helps us to go past and future, which means everybody can see what happend in the past and what will happen in the future. You can control your life to wherever you want. If you want to be a millionare, you will buy the specific lottery after seeing your future. Each person feel happiness in different sort of things, so let's find your best life with a time machine.

If I could invent something to help all of humankind, I want to invent a new type of a chair. When I was a high school student, I really worry about cold. Then I wear sportswear under the skirt, but high school teacher were angry that our figure, because they said "It seems very rude!" So I want to invent the chair which has some button in chair, and if I push the button of yellow, it appear the blanket. So if chair has some function, office worker, student or people who use or work at desk, it help every such kind of people!

Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about my history (Isoroku Yamamoto). He is the most popular Imperial Japanese Navy and he is going to attack Pearl Harbour to starting Pacific War. I like him because his action is brave. I want to be like him.

I would spend one day with Miyamoto Musashi who was a famous Samurai in Japan from thirteen to forteen century. My definition of Samurai is a person hired by someone. They kill people as a mission and get money. He was really strong and never be beaten by others. In laters years, he wrote Gorinsho(books). Gorinsho is books which intruct how to fight with others. I'd like to meet him, talk to him and know what kind of person he was in fact. Many people are enlighten by him and respect him including me.

For example, he made "Victory attained by violence is tantamount to a defeat, for it is momentary.", "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." and many other wise remarks. I think he is a necessary person for now. I think his ideas bring to peace all over the world. If I could spend time with person who is in history, I would like to spend time with 孔明 who is Chinese strategist of wars because I want to see his good strategy about wars. 8.5 Do you like winter?

It became cold recently so we have to prepare for the winter. I don't like winter because I am extremely sensitive to the cold, so every winter my hands and toes fell numb with cold. I don't want to move when I'm cold. I asked people about winter, "Which do you like summer or winter?" Almost everyone answered "I prefer winter more than summer." Of course I prefer summer more than winter, so I don't understand why people say like that. But winter has meny good points such as beautiful snow we can see, so I want to enjoy this winter if it's very cold.

I'm happy when I'm drinking beer with local friends. My local friends are the most important persons to me. So talking and drinking are very interesting with them. And I love beer. When I drink beer I feel the best. Drinking and friends are the most important thing in my life.

So this part time job is good for me.

My favorite place is the Umeda area in Osaka. Because this area have various discount shops and restaurants and playgrounds. I go to playgrounds of all others. For example, I go to Karaoke with my local friends. Karaoke is Japanese very interesting culture. So I’m going to this place once a month. Then, I go to the shopping to near the Umeda station by oneself. Umeda’s clothes store is very fashionable. So I am dressed up when I go to the Umeda. It’s restaurants are very delicious. It’s discount shops have many selection. Umeda is everything place. I love Umeda.

The winter is cold so, I couldn't sleep easily, but I have hot-water bottle.Could you know hot-water bottle? Japan say "yutannpo". It excels goods. I have poor blood circulation. A hot-water bottle help for me. I have "Oyasumi hituzi". It's look like a sheep so very cute.If you are worrying about poor blood circulation, I advise that you should have hot-water bottle.

Do you like doughnut? I had a part time job at mister donut when I was a high school student. I love doughnut since then. There are many varieties. It's one of fast food restaurant so some people don't like them very much. However I often go there with my friends. We can drink coffee as much as we can. I go there to study when I am outside.
It changes my mood so I can concentrate in my work better than studying at home. Eating too much doughnut isn't good for our health but I think sweet doughnut makes me happy sometimes!

Most of Japanese cartoon are excellent. Even a lot of foreigners are interesting in Japan because of Japanese cartoon. One of the best Japanese cartoons is "One Piece". I'm looking forward to watching it on TV every Sunday morning. I watch it on the mobile ever though I can't watch it at home. Their characters are really funny and individual, and also the story is original. Many people who watch this cartoon have their favorite character in this cartoon. I like a main character which has strange and strong power. Then I go to cafeteria of comics very often, and I read many kinds of Japanese comics in there. Recently I read "Kaiji" that a man tries to get a lot of money by gamble. It's also interesting cartoon.

9.5 History is great

Recently, I'm interested in Japanese history and culture. I think I should know about my country Japan because I want to introduce good points of Japan to foreigners. I had not been interested in Japanese history till recently. However, I changed my mind when I went to Hokkaido on school trip. One of my friend said "I want to go to Goryoukaku." I didn't know Goryokaku till she said. Goryokaku is Built by the Tokugawa shogunate, it was located in the center of the port of Hakodate, on the island of Hokkaidō. Shaped like a five-pointed star. Goryōkaku is famous as the site of the last battle of the Boshin War. A famous person Hijikata Toshizo (Shinsen-gumi) death there. My friend like him very much, so we went there. After I came back to Osaka, I watched a dorama about Shinsen-gumi on NHK. I was impressed by their story. I felt how great people who made history. I want to know many Japanese history more.

1.5 One kind of my favorite thing

Recently, I like to read English book for learners. Because the book show the level of English for example, vocabulary level or how much you need grade of Eiken to read. It's helpful for me to choose the book. I think the series of penguin readers is best for me. It has many famous story which is rewrote for learners. I always buy book with CD. It's very useful. I can read it fast with Sound.

4.5 Speech

Hi. E3E4 students. How are you doing? What day is it tomorrow? Everyone knows it. Tommorow, speech contest will be held at YMCA. I'm one of the contestants, which was my dream. Last year, I was a first grade at YMCA and watched some other students speeches in the speech contest. It was cool. To becoome a contestant means to be chosen by teachers as the best members. The contestans prepare or practice their speeches with a mentor. I thought I want to be a contestant next year. A recent few months were hard time. I've consider about speech contest everyday because I longed for being a contestant. This year, it comes true. I was glad to be choosen as one of the contestants. I'm preparing and practicing my speech with a mentor everyday, which is great opportunities not only to improve English skills but also to look back my experience. All I can do in speech contest is just do my best to give my message to other students.

2.4 My winter holiday

I am going to visit my grandmother's house. And I stay at home. It is very interesting. My grandmother is very kind and good. For example, make foods. Sometimes, I talk about my school life with my grandmother. School life is very good. Another winter vacation plan is I want to trip in abroad. I want to go to Hawai. Have you ever been to go to Hawai? I think very comfortable place.

13.4 My next holiday.

I will go to Korea on February to meet my friends. They said when I go there they will take me in Korea. I really like Korean food, so I'm looking forward to going some good restaurants. My friends will might tell me which restaurants are good. I also want to go to the town where my favorite movie was shot. However my biggest purpose is meeting my Korean friends. I hope I spend a really good time in Korea.

11.4 My favorite cafe

Do you have the favorite café? I like STURBUCKS coffee. I ‘m relaxing very much and can drink coffee. That was my first used to Hawaii. In Hawaiian STURBUCKS, size was very big so I went back to Japan when I was surprised at a difference of the size. My favorite coffee is Caramel Éclair Late. It is so delicious! 14.5 hair

I like short hair, because it is comfortable when dry up hair. However, I am yearn long hair. Long hair is looks like feminine. When I wear wig, it was unpopular. I shocked.

I tint a brown, but I used to have black hair.

I hate black hair, because look like inconspicuous. I want be a challenge hair to various!

2.3 I'm happy when...

I like using the computer,they are very important and interesting. I often use Internet. It is very convenient, because I can see information all over the world. I think it is very good. Now, many children use computers. I don't think that is good, because they play online computer games and use bad sites too much. It brings about seriously problems. Therefor, many children should use computer at school. When I stay at home, I often search for information. For example, obesity,global warming etc...

5.4 What kind of sweets do you like?

Do you like sweets? I like them very much! This is the picture which I took at Kobe's restaurant. My friend recommended me to go there with her because their sweets are interesting! We can make an original cake. For example, cheese cake with chocolate icecream, chocolate cake with vanila icecream, and so on. After choosing the type of cake, we choose some fruits to decorate. It looks good when everything had decorated. We enjoyed eating and talking because of this sweets!

8.4 Tosabori carnival

Yesterday volunteer course's students took part in Tosabori carnival and we opened the fair trade shop. We selled many hand made goods of Bangladesh and Nepal such as bag, hair tie, stuffed animal, pouch and etc... Some people were interested in it and bought something so we were very happy! And then we could finish without accident. We had a really good time yesterday.
